Meet your D3 Facilitators
Greg Phillips has been working for Dell in Round Rock for the past 16 years.
In 2011, he attended Discovery and the program changed his life. He has been serving as a volunteer for over 5 years. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his 3 incredible boys. He also enjoys bowling, watching football, and attending his son’s flag football games. Greg has a passion for music and strongly believes that “music is heard with the ears…and understood with the heart.”
Estrella was born and raised in Panama, graduating from Trinity University with a business degree. She is married and has two grown children. Estrella works as an interior decorator—her passion! She also enjoys hiking, scuba diving, pilates, and entertaining. She strives to be a difference maker and believes that joy comes from within… and believes that at Discovery others can experience this and more!
Misti, a Texas native, earned her BS degree from UT Tyler and has been working in education for 15 years. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree and principal’s certification. Misti started a nonprofit, Hope Floats, which works with schools and communities to help those in need. Misti is married and has three sons, two step-sons, and one step-daughter. She lives in Joy, Texas and enjoys traveling, roller skating, hosting foreign exchange students, and time with her kids. Misti has been a Discovery volunteer for 6 years.
D3 Purpose Schedule
Day Two – Saturday - IDENTIFY
The purpose of the day is to explore gifts, talents, and passions.
Morning Session (9:00-12:00)
Begin the discovery of their gifts and life-purpose.
Identify unresolved issues that prevent living in the present.
Lunch break (1 hour)
Afternoon session (12:45 – 5:30)
Identify personal passions.
Identify specific gifts the trainee has to offer the world and the fears associated with using those gifts.
Emphasize and illustrate the importance and urgency to live in the moment.
Evening Session (8:30 to 10:00 PM)
Join other program trainees and alumni for a celebration and party.
Optional No-charge sessions (10:00-11:00pm)
Alumni After-Party or
Discovery Recovery, for those that struggle with addiction or who deal with friends, family, coworkers etc. with addictions such as alcohol, drugs, shopping, gambling, pornography…
Day Three – Sunday – PURPOSE
The purpose of the day is to formulate a mission that incorporates the trainee’s gifts, talents and passions.
Morning Session (8:15-11:45)
Review of personal discoveries from the homework assignment.
Create a purpose and share the reasons why they chose that purpose.
Create a vision statement.
(9:15) At the invitation of the D3 participant, alumni family members may be invited to join the participant to formulate a Family Purpose. They should be on standby at the conference center.
Lunch break (1 hour)
Afternoon Session (12:15 – 5:00)

Explore the concept of giving back and making a difference
