Membership is optional. You never need to be a member to attend a Discovery program.

Invest in your people and your community. Each level includes seats for people your business chooses to complete the full Discovery journey (Base Camp, Ascent and Summit) within 12 months from your enrollment date.

Discovery business memberships provide valuable brand exposure. Depending on the benefits utilized, your contribution may qualify as a business expense or a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax professional to determine the optimal treatment for your organization.
Your primary contact assigns seats. A seat is locked to that person once they begin Base Camp. We’ll email logo specifications after you join.
GOOD TO KNOW
Calendar-year membership
Memberships run January 1 to December 31. Join on or after October 1 and yours runs through December 31 of the following year.
Picked up in person
Pins, polos and hats are handed out at Discovery events. Can’t make it? Send a friend with your confirmation email.
One adult per membership
Memberships are individual (no joint or family memberships) and open to adults 18 and over.
Partly tax-deductible
Discovery Programs is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 61-1787725). The part of your dues above the value of your rewards is tax-deductible, and your receipt shows that amount. You can decline any reward at checkout to raise it. New for 2026: even if you don't itemize, you may be able to deduct up to $1,000 in charitable gifts ($2,000 if married filing jointly). Check with your tax advisor.
Non-refundable
Memberships can’t be refunded or transferred. Pine members may give their Base Camp registration to someone else.
QUESTIONS
Do I need to be a member to attend a Discovery program?
No. Membership is never required to attend a Discovery program. It's simply a way to stay connected and give back.
Can my spouse and I share an Individual membership?
Memberships are individual, so each person joins on their own. That way everyone receives their own badge and credit for their service.
I just finished Base Camp. Where should I start?
Birch ($50) is a great place to start. You get the silver Discovery pin, and like every level, it lets you serve on a volunteer committee. If you'd rather give your time than money, Spruce is free when you serve on a committee.
What is the Founders Social?
An annual gathering for Oak, Pine and business members. The date, place, and time will be provided to members as the date approaches.
