Cinda
Brooks

Cinda Brooks grew up in East Africa. After moving to the US, she combined her career as a nurse with law enforcement, retiring as a lieutenant instructor at the Game Warden Academy. Cinda is a hall of famer in the World Police & Fire Games and a published author; she enjoys adventuring with family, hiking, and playing sports. She earned her BSN from Baylor and master’s in education from UT Austin. Cinda is passionate about her volunteer work with her church, and she has served with Discovery since 2006.

Mike
Reeder

Michael Reeder is a life coach and an entrepreneur with a focus on oil and gas exploration and startups. He attended Discovery in 1998, and he has served as a facilitator since 2003. He holds multiple black belts in the martial art of Aikido. He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from LSU, and he has attended the MBA program at St. Edwards University in Austin Texas.

Scott
Fitzgerald

Scott Fitzgerald earned a bachelor’s in Political Science from Furman University, and he holds a master’s degree from Texas Christian University. He is a decorated combat veteran and a former senior executive in the aerospace industry. As the co-founder and partner of S&S Fitzgerald Enterprises, he is an international executive coach, facilitator, and author. Scott has one grown daughter and one grandchild, who refers to him as Cap'n. He is a commercial pilot for helicopters and airplanes, and he loves to bicycle the open road. Scott's life was changed for the better in 2007 when he attended Discovery, and he has served ever since with his lovely wife and business partner Stephanie. 

Stephanie
Fitzgerald

Stephanie Fitzgerald received her BBA from the University of Georgia…GOOOO DAWGS! After a 23-year career in training and development for the staffing industry, she co-founded S&S Fitzgerald Enterprises with her husband Scott. Stephanie thrives in a classroom environment, helping people discover their best. Her hobbies include playing with her grandson, interior design, and any opportunity to exercise her vocal cords with other local musicians. Stephanie first attended Discovery in 2001, and she has been serving ever since that first “life-changing” attendance.

Misti
Seay

Misti Seay, a Texas native, is married and has six children and nine grandchildren. She earned her BS from UT Tyler and her master's degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University, and she also holds a principal's certificate. She worked in education for 17 years before pursuing her new passion, working with the foreign exchange program. Misti enjoys traveling, roller skating, chasing tornadoes, and spending time with family. She has served Discovery since 2010.

Lori
Scott

Lori Scott first attended Discovery in 2007. Today, she loves to serve with the organization to help others be the best they can be. “I fully believe in this program," she explains, "as it has helped my whole family be better communicators." Lori is an entrepreneur with a focus on health and helping people live fuller lives. She enjoys couples ministry, traveling, going out to eat, playing games, and hanging with friends and family, and she truly believes that laughter is the best medicine. Lori loves being a mother to two daughters and a wife to her husband John.

Mike
Erwin

Michael Erwin is a sales leader with Dell Federal, working with the United States Military and Intelligence Agencies. Previously Mike served as a business consultant for small businesses, nonprofits, and startups. Mike went through the Discovery training in 2010 and has served ever since in a variety of capacities. He has a passion for helping others find freedom and purpose, and to progress toward living the best lives they can envision. He has three daughters, Taylan, Mackenzie and Hope. The Erwins have lived in the Round Rock area since 2002.

LisaBeth Thomas

LisaBeth “LB” Thomas is known as a brilliant marketer, an award-winning producer, and a motivational speaker. She is the founding president of Texas Women in Business, and she was named a “Woman of Influence” by the Austin Business Journal. Currently, LB has teamed up with the governor’s office to spearhead Not on Our Watch (N.O.W.), a grassroots movement to bring awareness, education, and prevention to the issue of child sex trafficking. Ask LB why she has served with Discovery since 2013, and her answer always comes quickly: “Discovery helped me find the freedom from fears that were holding me back from having the life and relationships I only dreamed of.” She serves to help others find that freedom too.

Greg
Phillips

Greg Phillips, born and raised in Austin, has been working for Dell since 1999. In 2011, he walked into this program thinking that life, in general, was good. Little did he realize, there is so much more to life than what he’d been living. Discovery changed his life, and he will forever be grateful.

John
Scott

John Scott went through Discovery training in 2007, and it changed his life profoundly. It brought him, his wife, and two daughters closer together and helped them navigate tough times with grace. His greatest hope is to help others find the same freedom and joy that this program gave him. He's had a diverse career in the building materials industry, from sales to homebuilding to consulting. Married for over 30 years, they have two amazing daughters, both married to wonderful men—all Discovery graduates. Outside of work, he loves traveling with his wife and exploring the outdoors, from hiking to boating. Cooking is also a passion, and he enjoys creating delicious meals for his loved ones.
